BIOREPEEL
A powerful chemical peel combining trichloroacetic acid (TCA), lactobionic acid, salicylic acid, citric acid and tartaric acid with vitamin C, vitamin B2, squalane and amino acids. BioRePeel is one of the strongest peels offered at BLOOM and not only is it safe for all skin tones with no skin prep required, but it has zero downtime for the majority of people.
BioRePeel works on your skin from the inside out, reducing hyperpigmentation, acne, pore size and scars while reversing signs of ageing (such as wrinkles and skin laxity) by significantly boosting the production of collagen, elastin and growth factor levels.
After your first treatment, BioRePeel can be combined with microneedling at shallow depths to enable the peel to penetrate deeper to enhance the benefits, while the needling also works independently to improve skin quality and texture with additional collagen stimulation.
Unlike the peel alone, this treatment will have downtime including 24-48 hours of redness following by dryness and skin flaking for around one week. This advanced protocol is not available as a first time treatment, it can only be booked following a standalone BioRePeel with pigment-reducing skincare advised alongside treatment.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Following a double cleanse, skin will be disinfected and the peel will be applied. For your first treatment it will be left on the skin for a maximum of three minutes, all future treatments will be five minutes. It can feel a little tingly, but it isn’t painful.
While many clinics simply remove BioRePeel with water, BLOOM neutralises it with a special gel (this step is often overlooked as TCA is a self-neutralising ingredient, but salicylic acid is not) to ensure safe skin recovery. Finishing products are then applied.
Skin may be a little red afterwards, but this quickly subsides. And if all pre- and aftercare is followed, no shedding should be experienced but skin can feel dry afterwards.
When combined with microneedling the peel is on the skin for longer and the sensation of the peel is more intense, with skin hot, tingly and stinging. Redness can be expected for 24-48 hours, with dry skin and flaking common for one week afterwards.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO YOU NEED?
One treatment will give an instant glow and noticeable improvements; however, most people need four treatments for significant skin improvement to acne, hyperpigmentation and acne scars.
